What is "One Country Data Roaming"?

It’s a benefit that lets you use your local data in one country of your choice from the 31 listed while you’re travelling abroad​

Who is eligible for this benefit?

This benefit is available to all eligible customers on a mobile plan of 20GB or more.​

Are any plans excluded?

Yes — plans with 14GB or less are not eligible for the FREE benefit.​

Does the benefit apply to promotional data?

No, the offer only applies to your paid local data. Promotional or shared local data won’t be converted into roaming data.​

Which countries can I choose from?

You can choose from 31 countries. Please visit the app to see the available countries.

How long does the benefit last?

The benefit is valid for the entire duration of your subscribed plan, provided you're still eligible.​

How do I activate the One Country Data Roaming benefit?

If you’re eligible, just activate the free benefit in the Virgin Mobile app, then head to the Roaming tab under “One Country Data Roaming” to choose your country.​

Do I have to opt in every month?

Yes, you need to opt in to the benefit every month.​

Can I change my chosen country?

You can only change your chosen country when your plan renews. This can be done in the Virgin Mobile app, under the Roaming tab. ​

What happens to my local data when I use this benefit?

Your local data from your subscribed plan will be converted to Roaming data once you enable the free data roaming pass.​

Is there a data cap for unlimited plans?

Yes, customers with unlimited data plans will have their usage capped at 100GB while roaming.​

When will my free "One country data roaming" benefit renew with my 20GB and above plan?

Your free "One country data roaming" can be activated every month when your plan renews, and you can select your chosen country.​

Does the benefit cover all roaming partners in the chosen country?

It covers partners that we have roaming agreement with.​

How can I check my remaining roaming data?

You can see this in the Virgin Mobile App under the Roaming tab.​

Will I be notified when my roaming data is running out?

Yes — you’ll get an SMS or app notification at 50%, 80%, and 100% of your allowance.​

Can I buy the free benefit for multiple countries?

No — the benefit can only be applied once per month, for one country.​

What happens if I downgrade my plan to less than 20GB – will the benefit stop working at the next renewal date?

Yes – the benefit will no longer be applied to your account from the next plan cycle.​

Can I get a refund for the benefit?

Since you have opted in for the benefit, the refund is not applicable; however, you can cancel the benefit before the next renewal date.​

Can I opt into the benefit for all my accounts under my number?

Yes – As long as they are on 20GB and above plans. The account will have the option to receive the free benefit.​

Can I use my promotional or shared local data with this benefit?

No, this offer only applies to paid data. Promotional or shared national data will not be converted into roaming data and will be restricted to paid data.​

As a 20GB customer, how can I choose between One country calls and One country data roaming?

As a 20GB customer, you can choose EITHER One country calls or One country data roaming.
