Do Not Call Registry (DNCR)

Active since September 2022.

DNCR, The Nationwide Registry

In compliance with the regulatory framework, the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) is active from September 2022. The registry is designed to protect customers from unwanted communications, eg; unsolicited telemarketing, spam, or malicious calls.

The DNCR ensures that telemarketers seeking to communicate to people must obtain consent from each customer. Should these telemarketers not do this, customers have the right to raise an official complaint.

How to add your number to the DNCR

You can simply register your number in the DNCR through the Virgin Mobile app Settings.

Alternatively, you can follow below steps:

  • If you’re using an iOS device, tap on ‘More’ in the menu at the bottom of the home screen. For Android users, open up your side menu on the top left
  • Tap on ‘Settings’
  • Here you will see ‘Manage third party voice calls’. Enable the toggle and tap on confirm to add your number to the Do Not Call Registry

Yes, companies can still make telemarketing calls to your number if you’ve provided them your consent to receive the telemarketing calls related to their business, despite your number being added to the DNCR.
