Do Not Call Registry (DNCR)

DNCR, The Nationwide Registry

In compliance with the regulatory framework, the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) is active from September 2022. The registry is designed to protect customers from unwanted communications, eg; unsolicited telemarketing, spam, or malicious calls.

Once registered, your number will stay indefinitely in the registry unless you remove your number/or number is disconnected.

How to add your number to the DNCR

You can simply register your number in the DNCR through the Virgin Mobile app Settings.

Alternatively, you can follow below steps:

  • If you’re using an iOS device, tap on ‘More’ in the menu at the bottom of the home screen. For Android users, open up your side menu on the top left
  • Tap on ‘Settings’
  • Here you will see ‘Manage third party voice calls’. Enable the toggle and tap on confirm to add your number to the Do Not Call Registry

In case you receive telemarketing or fraud calls, kindly fill out the complaint form above and submit a complaint. Alternatively, you can report the issue to our care team by sending a message or SMS with the following format: <Report> <Space> <Number> to 1012.

How long does it take to update the DNCR status?

The DNCR status is updated immediately. If you still receive telemarketing calls after adding your number to the DNCR, kindly contact us to make a complaint.

Will my DNCR status automatically change?

No, your DNCR status will always remain the same as the last update done by you. Virgin Mobile will only remove your number from the DNCR once your services are terminated and your number is deactivated.

If my number is added to the DNCR, will I still receive unsolicited or malicious calls?

Yes, you may still receive such calls as the DNCR is only a registry for the legitimate telemarketing companies that contact you based on your DNCR preference.

If my number is added to the DNCR, can a company still make a telemarketing call to my number?

As of the August 2023 update, telemarketers may no longer contact individuals whose numbers are listed in the DNCR, even with prior consent. In case you still receive telemarketing calls, you can report the call by filling out the complaint form above and submitting a complaint.
